This week on the show, we remember Ivan Reitman’s producing partner and Hollywood legend Tom Pollock, who passed at age 77. From a heartfelt remembrance in Vanity Fair by Reitman himself, to hearing Pollock’s words on stage talking about Draft Day, learn how Pollock was a key figure in many of the films that are probably among your favorites. Then in the second half of the show, some Ghostbusters Afterlife news, including three product leaks from Hasbro: the Spengler Neutrona Wand, Tully’s Terrible Night, and packaging for the Afterlife Ecto-1 (and the boys trying to figure out the best way to talk about them). First up, lots and lots of details on the Hasbro presentation, which stole the show on Saturday with 6” figures for collectors, 3 and 3/4” figures for kids, and Plasma Series replica props from Ghostbusters Afterlife for all of us who want to take the movie home with us. Plus Playmobil has play boxes, a company is calling dibs on video pinball machines, and Funko didn’t want to reveal much to avoid spoiling the new movie. This week on the show, New York International Toy Fair had lots of surprises and we’ve got an excerpt from Hasbro’s presentation, and in the second half of the show: the imperfections of Ghostbusters! First up, a few news items including some fine art prints for sale and a little audio from Hasbro’s presentation which revealed the return of the Kenner Real Ghostbusters and Plasma Series figures and prop replicas like Spengler’s Neutrona Wand and more (next week, we’ll have the full rundown of it all). Plus Ivan and Jason Reitman appeared to talk a little about Ghostbusters Afterlife! Then in the second half of the show, we all look at Ghostbusters as a perfect film, but what are some of those blemishes or imperfections that we either choose to overlook or see every time we view? This Memorial Day, join us for news, speculation, and more! First up, Sony has laid claim to a July 2020 release date for an "Untitled Animated Movie."
