Okay, NOW we'll talk about Stranger Things Season Two... hopefully everyone's had a chance to watch by now? But first, a few news items that the two knobs weren't able to get to last week including some broad non-spoiler chat about TMNT/Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters making Cinefex Magazine's top monster movie list, and a strange article about an Ecto-1 for sale across the pond. Then, in the second half of the show, Chris and Troy talk about all the Ghostbusters references (and if indeed those patches were available for sale in 1984), the show in general, and what the future may hold for Season Three.
This week on the show, we're recapping all of this weekend's NYCC '17 events! Playmobil announced their next series of figures, including Ghostbusters II and Real Ghostbusters figures, Lootcrate has a slew of exclusives that were sold both at NYCC (and might be in this month's crate?), IDW is gearing up for both the TMNT crossover as well as the Answer the Call miniseries, Insight Editions handed out limited edition posters to those who pre-ordered the Ectomobile Owner's Workshop Manual, Hot Topic merch, Spirit and Spencer's... buckle up, it's going to be a long one.
Listen to this, Jerry - it's a movie about nothing. No really. We'll explore Patrick Willems' video that posits Ghostbusters was a film essentially about nothing. What did he mean by that, and can we offer a rebuttal? Find out this week. Also on the show: the Ghostbusters Ectomobile Owner's Workshop Manual gets a preview, the Ghostbusters of North Carolina get some screentime, Ghostbusters pinball is coming to your consoles, and could a proton pack be effective against Pennywise? (Due to technical difficulties, Troy sounds like he's broadcasting from a submarine somewhere off the coast of California. Apologies.)
This week on the show, we're catching up on the last two weeks' worth of news! First up, Troy and Chris chat about Paul Feig's "Director's Series" at the Tribeca Film Festival, a ton of great Ernie Hudson news including an in depth interview he did with Blastr, music chat including the new IMAScore music at Heide Park Resort and a rare glimpse into the life of "Magic" artist Mick Smiley, and finally we're chatting a little print and things to read including an upcoming Ecto-1 Owners Workshop Manual with a familiar author.
