While we’re doing so, we’re talking about Ghostbusters being number one at the box office 36 years later, Ghostbusters Year One issue number 4 and what it sets up for the future, remembering Peter Aykroyd and Carl Reiner, and a whole lot more!

This week on the show, Ghostbusters Afterlife slides to March of 2021 and Ghostbusters Year One Issue #3 discussion. Up first, Sony Pictures made the difficult decision to move Ghostbusters Afterlife to release on 3/5/21 due to the ongoing pandemic across the globe, Troy and Chris discuss why that’s a tough break for fans, but ultimately might be beneficial to the film itself. Then in the second half of the show, a spoiler-filled discussion of Ghostbusters Year One Issue #3 by IDW Comics, focusing on the side-story and a little bit of backstory of the great Dr. Peter Venkman.

First up, remembering Gunnar Ferdinandsen, the legendary special effects artist whom you might not recognize by name but certainly will by his work. Then some film updates including a quick update on the Vanity Fair confirmation that Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts, and Sigourney Weaver will all be in the film and a fun on-set story (more on that next week). Then in the second half of the show, Troy and Chris discuss their thoughts on IDW’s latest entry in the comics lexicon: Year One and a backstory with Winston Zeddemore we’ve never seen before!

First up, Chris and Troy take a trip down memory lane (hence the photo on this week’s cover from the ORIGINAL Crossrip episode), then after catching up, news from IDW about a four issue mini called Year One on the way, GBTVG patched updates for all consoles except Switch (and what do the boys hope to see in terms of video games next year), and finally - there’s a Digital Spy article that thinks Ferris Bueller, The Breakfast Club, Ghostbusters, and more all take place in the same cinematic universe. Could it be?
