We’re back to regularly scheduled programming after a couple odd-weeks and there’s TONS to discuss: Ghostbusters World, Men in Black crossovers, it’s a four-fold Crossrip for our return. First up, Troy and Chris have had some time with Ghostbusters World, what have they liked? What needs improvement? What level are they and how does it compare to Greg Miller? Then, IDW Games has announced a new boardgame crossover that pits the Men in Black property with Ghostbusters for the first time (officially). Other news items in discussion: that Ghostbusters II remote controlled trap up for auction, Bryan Lynch’s Ghostbusters III concept, Ghostbusters Dimension’s status at VOID arcade attractions, and Chris hits us all with a half-hour rapid-fire of anything and everything we’ve missed over the past couple weeks!
This week on the show, discussing the Halifax commercial that bends space and time to insert a pitchman into the 1984 film and presenting the entirety of the Wizard World Chicago panel! First up in the news: Ghostbusters Dimension is leaving Madam Tussauds in New York City, Chris and Troy talk about the Halifax commercial which alters the 1984 film to sell contact-less credit cards, merch news including new offerings in card gaming and backpacking, and an update on Rick Moranis' first convention appearance in San Antonio. Then, in the second half of the show, our friends the Circle City Ghostbusters have been kind enough to share audio from Ivan Reitman and Ernie Hudson's panel at Wizard World Chicago. In the panel, they discuss the past, present and future of Ghostbusters and answer several questions from those in the audience.
This week on the show, Troy and Chris talk the exciting conclusion to the Ghostbusters 101 comic series, the history of slime according to the Verge, Ghostbusters Answer the Call on Sky Cinema (and its accompanying special), and the Ghostbusters Resurrection team really showed us up on their Vigo theories. It's a long holiday weekend here in North America, grab a lemonade and join us while you're at the BBQ!
This week on the show, step into a virtual world as we talk to Jake Zim, the Senior Vice President of Sony Virtual Reality, about the new Ghostbusters VR experience on PS4! But first up, there's a whole lot of news - remembering Bernie Wrightson, discussing first impressions of IDW Comics' Ghostbusters 101, SNL going "live" across North America, Spacehunter is coming to Blu-ray (and why should you care?), and Heide Park Resort has started showing off their upcoming dark ride attraction. After the news at around the hour mark, stick around for Chris and Troy talking about their experience with the Ghostbusters VR on Playstation 4 and a brief discussion with Jake Zim of Sony VR about the new experience, the expansion of The Void Ghostbusters Dimension and a whole lot more!
This week on the show, we answer lots of questions! What Kids Choice Awards did Ghostbusters just win? Where is the first Void Ghostbusters Dimension expansion popping up? When does the PS4 Ghostbusters VR experience release? What did Paul Feig say on the CBC? Who the hell is Keith Lemon? What's the difference between 70mm film and 35mm? What's your name and where are you from? And how much can Dr. Egon Spengler bench press?
This week on the show, a little something different - Troy is on vacation with his lovely wife, and he was able to coax her into jumping into the VOID Virtual Reality experience at Madame Tussauds NYC called "Ghostbusters Dimension." If you haven't heard about it, it's a fully immersive virtual reality experience that allows you to strap on a proton pack and walk through a virtual Ghostbusters world, interacting with your surroundings, and letting you bust some heads - in a spiritual sense, of course. Listen to Troy and Kelly's thoughts on the VR experience and how much they're creeped out by wax figures, this week on the Crossrip!
